102 ALL Associate Groups 'Answer the Call' to Recognize Human Personhood by Katie Walker Released August 17, 2009
Washington, D.C. (17 August 2009) – American Life League welcomed two new Associate groups to its family of grassroots human rights organizations fighting for the full recognition of human personhood. This brings the total number of ALL Associates to 102 groups, which includes over half of the United States, as well as Canada and Africa.
“In the current climate of nationalized government animosity toward human personhood, grassroots organizations are absolutely critical,” said Judie Brown, president of American Life League. “Truly, it is only through the one-on-one interaction of these groups with the people in their communities that hearts and minds will be changed and the personhood of every human being will be recognized.”
Loreto House, ALL’s new Associate in Denton, Texas, provides information, education and resources for pregnant women in need, married couples, post-abortive men and women, the elderly and the disabled. It exists to uphold the sanctity of the life of human beings at all stages, in accordance with the Catholic Church’s teachings.
Abortion Must End Now (AMEN) is ALL’s first Associate in Arizona. Based in Yuma, the organization has taken an active role in educating the community through grassroots activism and prayer vigils at the local Planned Parenthood facility. “We are so excited to welcome these two new groups to the American Life League family!” said Judie Brown, president of American Life League. “As more people answer the call to stand for human personhood, we are confident that American Life League, together with Loreto House and AMEN, will be powerful forces in promoting the right to life of all people – born and preborn.”
American Life League was cofounded in 1979 by Judie Brown. It is the largest grassroots Catholic pro-life organization in the United States and is committed to the protection of all innocent human beings from the moment of creation to natural death.
