Planned Parenthood strategizes on how to get its name disassociated with abortion

Planned Parenthood League of Massachusetts, an affiliate that has received over $469 million in total income from 2005-2007, is worried about its abortion reputation. This affiliate, which performs surgical abortions up to 18 weeks at all of its three non-express clinics, is trying very hard to dissociate itself with the fact that it kills babies.  Does it stop doing abortions? Of course not! With its latest attempt to brainwash the people of Massachusetts, it is attempting to “re-brand” its organization. And this is no April Fools!

Dianne Luby, CEO of the PP League of Massachusetts said, "We want to start changing the entire conversation that's out there, and start acting more like sexual health matters as much as nutrition health and cardiac health.” Change the entire conversation? Start acting more like sexual health matters? Does PP realize how much damage it has done to the youth of Massachusetts that it’s trying to retrace its steps? Nah, it’s just realizing that the American people are getting a better picture of what PP is really all about; these types of marketing schemes are expected with the largest abortion chain in the country.

Let us continue to be a voice for the voiceless and kick PP out of our schools and out of our communities. It will still try to save itself, but the truth will always prevail. Keep working hard and you will see success!

PP plans to inject women with rods

PP of Greater Iowa is willing to inject Implanon into women’s upper arms for free.  Never mind all of the dangerous side effects that come with this particular birth control implant. This is another way PP is using to bring women into its clinics. Implanon, the thin birth control rod, releases etonogestrel (a synthetic hormone) into the woman’s body over a three-year period.

But wait, is PP responsible for these free birth control “donations”? No, that’s from an anonymous group coordinated by the Iowa Initiative to Reduce Unintended Pregnancies. Either way, PP is more than happy to poison more young women in its state!

As more and more people are becoming aware of the dangerous side effects of these birth control products (
www.thepillkills.com), one of which is that these NON-natural ways to space out children can actually kill them! The birth control pill, Implanon and other birth control products are abortifacient. They thin the lining of the mother’s uterus so if a baby is conceived, he/she cannot attach and dies. This is a chemical abortion and this is part of PP’s baby-killing agenda.

PP of Greater Iowa has a total of 16 facilities. Our records show that there are a total of five PP facilities that have regularly scheduled protests outside of them. Thank you to all who have committed your time and energy to witness outside these facilities and, if you live near a PP facility that does not have any protests outside of them, we encourage you to seriously consider starting one! Check out the Map Room for more information at
www.stopp.org/maps. Let the women in your communities be fully aware that the pill and Implanon can kill!

Hillary Clinton and Margaret Sanger

With its latest attempt at getting more press and attention, PP gave
Hillary Clinton the Margaret Sanger Award at the conclusion of its National Conference in Houston, Texas.

As Hillary Clinton went on and on about how happy she was to receive such an “award,” she left out that Sanger’s legacy includes the deaths of more than 50 million preborn children in the United States. Clinton also did not mention that Margaret Sanger believed in uninhibited sex. Sanger believed that you should be able to have sex with anyone you wanted, whenever you wanted, regardless of whether or not you are married to that person and regardless of the fact that you may be married to someone else. Margaret Sanger also disliked large families and was a prominent leader in the eugenics and birth control movements. (For more information on Margaret Sanger,

Last year STOPP and several other STOPPers attended the Planned Parenthood Federation of America National Conference in Washington, D.C., and this year we made our presence known once again – this time in Houston. One thing that we have noticed throughout the years is that PP is very intimidated by pro-lifers. It continues to attempt its planning in secret, but with so much opposition in this country, that is a very difficult thing to do.

We are here to shut down this organization, and PP is very afraid. It should be, with all of the groups forming and the unending number of protests. We are even seeing the fruits of our battle when legislators understand the evils behind this organization (Pray for Hillary Clinton and President Obama’s conversion). May we continue to strive forward and close each and every one of its doors!

University of San Francisco stops referring students to PP

The University of San Francisco, a Catholic institution, and its medical center, St. Mary’s Medical Center, have stopped referring students to PP.  In December 2008, it was discovered that the medical center was referring students who were seeking an abortion to PP. The Cardinal Newman Society reports that the medical center and the University are now referring students to First Resort, the Gabriel Project, and Catholic Charities counseling services.

Praise God! All of us know that PP is not a place where clinics, especially any Catholic institution, should be referring their patients to. They should certainly NOT be referring young mothers to the largest abortion chain in the country!

STOPP in Wisconsin

Marie Hahnenberg was in Wisconsin last week meeting with pro-lifers in the Madison area. She reported the following:

Last week I had the opportunity to meet with pro-lifers in Wisconsin and was very impressed with the amount of knowledge they had about PP’s presence in their state and their plan of action on how to defeat government funding of PP.

During the first part of my trip, I was able to bring the message of chastity to a group of young adults and discussed the culture of death and PP’s anti-chaste message. It was interesting timing, when paired with the pope’s recent comments that he made on the AIDS problem in Africa, and how condoms are only making it worse. I mentioned this to the audience and I also pointed out that Edward C. Green, Harvard University's director of the AIDS Prevention Research, agreed with him.

Yet, PP continues to push its failed ideology onto our youth.

The second part of the trip I met some other amazing pro-lifers who came from different parts of the state as they gathered together for a retreat. It was such a great experience! I was able to reflect on some of ALL’s initiatives on the fight against PP and encouraged them to continue the fight and not be discouraged.

PP event in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania

PP Southeastern Pennsylvania hosted an event Saturday evening titled, “Movie Nite: A Hollywood Glamour Prom” in Center City, Philadelphia at The William Way Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual and Transgender Community Center. We received word from some pro-lifers in the area that they were planning to distribute pro-life information at this event. Here is one of the accounts we’ve received:

PP of Southeast Pennsylvania held another "Young Professionals" fundraiser event on the evening of Saturday, March 28.  It was held at the William Way Community Center at 1315 Spruce St. in Center City, Philadelphia, and had a "movie glamour" theme.  Attendees wore fancy clothing and the room rented for the event resembled a high school prom.  Three young adults in their mid-twenties – two women and one man – were present to distribute pro-life literature to those attending the fundraiser.

We stood outside for over an hour, and took a relatively low profile because we knew if we created a scene, chances were less likely people going in would take our flyer.  Our goal was to get a leaflet into the hand of each person walking in, and were successful with that goal.  There were what appeared to be security of some sorts (two men in suits who spoke with the PP staffers present, but did not wear name tags identifying them as being with PP) who stood opposite us at the entryway.  It wasn't until almost an hour into our outreach efforts that they realized we were passing out anti-PP lit.  How did we fool them for so long?

The literature was designed specifically to appear as pro-PP from a casual glance.  The top said, "THANK YOU FOR CARING ABOUT WOMEN” and an opening statement expressed gratitude in their desire to help others, which most likely led them to believe PP was deserving of their support.  Then we listed "a few things you should know about this organization" in bullet points.  We would greet people, hand out the literature, and then tell them "right inside here, enjoy your night!"  Several did look down and glance at the paper, and one woman began to read it in front of us, the whole time smiling and saying, "Aw, this is sweet, thanks for being out here."  It wasn't until we were almost ready to leave that three of the flyers were brought back outside to us, and one of the PP staffers went to talk to (what we believed to be) security.  As she was beginning to walk back in, I asked the two men "Did she just tattle on us?"  They laughed, and asked what we were passing out.  We gave both of them the information, and one said he'd be right back.  After conferring with PP staff inside, he came out and asked us if we were going to be peaceful.  I told him "Absolutely, of course" and they left us alone...

The total attendance for the event was somewhere less than three dozen, in my best estimate.  Several of the attendees were PP staff (as noted on their name tags).  I spotted four attendees (two who I knew were PP staff) throwing their cigarette butts on the sidewalk (horrible thing to do in a city renowned for its trash problem).  The well-dressed crowd was almost entirely white, and served to contrast those who support PP – mostly white, well-off individuals – with those who are its targets – mostly lower-income and people of color.

STOPP thanks the courageous pro-lifers who stood outside this PP event and distributed truth to people who may not even know the evils of this organization! May God bring forth fruit from the seeds that these pro-lifers planted. May this story encourage YOU to protest PP and educate your community on the real truth of this racial organization.
