Is Planned Parenthood telling the truth about abortion?

On Planned Parenthood’s “teen” web site, Teenwire.com, a section titled “Abortion Myths: Fact or Fiction” is another example of how PP does not come forward with the truth. PP attempts to paint abortion as some kind of safe procedure that doesn’t seem to have many side effects at all. PP continues to make this argument in its literature and web sites when, in reality, the information PP posts does not match the accurate information out there!  Not only that, but does PP mention anything about the life of the preborn child? Absolutely not! The article on Teenwire.com starts off with: “You’re pregnant, and you don’t want to be.” No mention of a baby.

American Life League has already researched the terrible complications that happen to a mother after an abortion takes place. Some side effects include an increased chance of breast cancer and complications in future pregnancies – both of which PP says are false.

Please take time and read through what ALL has available on our web site at: http://www.all.org/article.php?id=10117 and, if you want to know the “myths” PP is spreading, read its article here: http://www.teenwire.com/infocus/2006/if-20061128p467-abortion.php.

PP goes after high school teacher

ALL has been working with Bill Diss and Precious Children of Portland, and doing all that we can to help assist them with preventing PP from opening a new clinic in their area.

PP knows how effective pro-life activism is, and has been going after Bill Diss since PP knows it can be defeated. Bill Diss is a high school math and electronics teacher in Portland and PP of Columbia/Willamette wants Bill Diss’ teaching license revoked.

Why? Because PP is afraid. We have heard about PP of Columbia/Willamette before, not only because of this proposed 40,000 square foot killing center, but also because of its disgusting web site “Takecaredownthere.org.” You may also remember that our own Marie Hahnenberg debated the CEO of this affiliate, David Greenberg, in September on ABC’s News Now on the topic of sex education.

Last month ALL put out a press release in support of Mr. Diss. Jim Sedlak, vice president of ALL and founder of STOPP had only positive things to say: “Bill has organized one of the most effective efforts against PP in the country. It’s no surprise PP will resort to anything – even going after his teaching license – in order to silence him.”

We continue to encourage Bill Diss and all of the pro-lifers in the Portland area. Keep working hard and, with God’s grace, good will continue to prevail.

Live Action Films releases fourth video of PP cover-up

PP is caught again in covering up rape! Live Action Films released the fourth video of its Mona Lisa Project that shows PP covering up rape at PP clinics in Arizona.

In this video, two college students posing as 15-year-old girls went into two PP facilities in Phoenix, Arizona, in June 2008, seeking an abortion for one of the girls. In both circumstances, PP employees were told that the “boyfriend” was 27 years old. And once again, we see that PP concealed the sexual abuse of a minor.

The location of the first of these PP clinics is: 4417 N. 7th Ave, Phoenix, AZ 85013. Click here to view the location on our Map Room web site.  The second PP clinic is located at 5651 N. 7th St., Phoenix, AZ 85014.

How many more videos need to be released in order for our Congress and president to realize that PP should NOT be receiving our tax dollars? We must continue to educate our congressmen and president to defund PP.

Please sign the petition to stop PP tax funding at: www.stopplannedparenthoodtaxfunding.com.

The first three videos of the Mona Lisa Project took place at PP facilities in Indiana and Tucson, Arizona.

ALL thanks Live Action Films for all of its hard work and the courage of these college students to expose PP for what it really is.

Be sure to pass these videos around and continue to educate the people in your community on how dangerous PP really is.

Feast of the Annunciation

The Feast of the Annunciation, traditionally celebrated on March 25, commemorates the archangel Gabriel’s appearance to the Virgin Mary to bring God’s message that she had been chosen to be the mother of the Son of God.

ALL is encouraging individuals and groups to use the month of March to commemorate this feast with special activities. In addition, ALL will be celebrating March 25, 2009, with a special solemn High Mass offered for the “safe delivery of all preborn children in the womb.” We want to pray specifically for as many preborn children as possible on March 25.

Please click here to add a mother and child to our Mass intention for March 25, 2009.

Money denied!

Last week county officials in Santa Ana, California, voted on whether a $291,788 education grant should be given to PP of San Bernardino and Orange Counties. Praise God – the county denied PP the money!

In 2006, PP of San Bernardino and Orange Counties received a total income of $19,107,551. It received a total $3,048,181 from government funding in 2006. PP certainly does not need any additional funds to continue with its pro-death agenda.

Mario Mainero said prior to the vote, “We have a problem with financing PP period. We just don’t think government money should be used to talk to teens and preteens about birth control and abortion.”

The contract was first approved through a $7.5 million agreement with the Orange County Coalition of Community Clinics. It was funded through tobacco settlement revenue. The funding had been approved annually since 2001, until now.

This is one step to defeating government, state, and local funding to PP. All of us at ALL send a big thank you to the county officials in Santa Ana and encourage all STOPPers to learn from this victory and do the same in your own hometowns.
