Planned Parenthood is creating more abortionists

Planned Parenthood has been helping create more abortionists using the mask of “early pregnancy care” in the state of California. Nurse midwives, nurse practitioners and physician assistants at PP facilities in Concord, Los Angeles and San Diego, California, have been receiving training on how to perform suction aspiration abortions through what is considered a “pilot project.”

Senator Sam Aanestad of the 4th District of California exposed this truth in his February 5 publication titled, “Abortion and Orwell.” He stated that this pilot project was enacted in 1973 and was approved in 2006 “without legislative oversight.” It went under the name of Healthcare Workforce Pilot Project #171 with a purpose to “Demonstrate the role of advanced practice clinicians in expanding early pregnancy care.”

Early pregnancy care? Newsflash: Early pregnancy care means killing preborn babies. Is this really any different from phrases that PP likes to use to describe its own organization? Phrases such as “health care” or “reproductive freedom.” Yet, where is the health care for the human being inside the womb? What about the preborn baby’s rights?

In addition, how many mothers are aware that they are part of a research project? Senator Aanestad said that HWPP #171 “allows women seeking medical care to become subjects of social research.”

Apparently the program sponsor at the University of California “admits that the goal of the pilot project is to expand abortion practice and access, ‘particularly in underserved areas.’” Surprised? You shouldn’t be. PP is known for targeting certain populations with hopes to get more business. For the past three years this “project” has cost a total of $1.3 million.

The three PP affiliates that have been involved in HWPP #171 are PP of Los Angeles, PP of Shasta-Diablo and PP of San Diego and Riverside Counties. In 2006, PP of Los Angeles made a profit of $4,990,394. PP of Shasta-Diablo made a total profit of $2,347,525 in 2005, and PP of San Diego and Riverside Counties made a total profit of $1,676,156 also in 2005.

Having more people killing people is what PP calls health care.

Girl asked for help; PP kept silent

PP of Southwest Ohio is facing a lawsuit due to failure to report signs of sexual abuse of a 16-year-old girl by her father. The girl arrived at the Mount Auburn PP clinic in 2004 to get an abortion.

Five years later, Denise, who is now 21, is suing PP. The sexual abuse by her father started when Denise was 13 and continued until she was 17. The abuse continued for an additional year and a half after Denise went to the PP clinic in 2004. This abuse was not reported by PP, but by the girl’s basketball coach who became suspicious.

PP is not helping women or young girls – it is only covering up cases of rape! This poor young girl was trying to get help and PP did nothing. The suit alleges that the young girl told PP employees, “that she had been forced to do things that she did not want to do.” But PP did not help her.

We must stop PP from ruining more lives. This is not a “trusted” organization! Please, do all that you can to get PP out of your town.

Write your congressmen, sign the petitionstart or join a protest, share Denise’s story. Make a difference. Save lives.

Huh? PP cares about the environment?

Since PP’s reputation continues to crumble as this “health organization” that “helps women,” PP is doing all it can to get its name out there as an organization that actually cares. Will people fall for it?

Groups in Vermont, including firefighters and PP, are trying to ban fireproof chemicals. Why? Because it hurts the environment! PP not only cares about women and children, but didn’t you hear that PP also cares about the environment? Seriously, if PP really cared about the environment and really cared about women and children, then why is PP pushing its birth control and abortion business?

Fifty-five percent of PP’s clinic income is from the sale of birth control. The birth control pill and other birth control products are chemicals that infect a woman’s body and can starve her preborn baby from the nutrients needed for him/her to grow. So when Elizabeth Cukor of PP of Northern New England said that the flame-retardant chemicals used in different products and furniture are “chemicals that can harm reproductive health and children’s development” and that “it’s troubling that their presence in our bodies is increasing,” Ms. Cukor needs to look at what the same products that the organization she is affiliated with are doing to the women and children across the country!

Just by glancing at the long list of serious side effects on The Pill Kills web site at: http://www.thepillkills.com/effects.html or the several studies out there on how the pill is affecting our environment, you will see how devasting the birth control pill has been for our entire generation and generations to come. Mark W. LeChevallier, director of innovation and environmental stewardship at American Water (the largest water and wastewater provider in North America) said during one of his talks last summer at a national conference, “secondhand estrogens are being released into the environment," and “the synthetic estrogen used in birth control pills can wreak havoc on the sex lives of fish.”

PP really does not care about the environment and does not care about women and children. This same PP affiliate (Northern New England) is also known for its hideous text messaging service called “Have Consensual Text.” One does not need to go into details about such a service, but knowing it is from PP, you can count on it being absolutely disgusting and our tax dollars should not be going into the hands of PP.

Pro-life, not anti-choice

The following letter was written by Margie Harvey of Polk City, Florida, and can be found on TheLedger.com

Planned Parenthood representative Sheryll Strang wrote that Planned Parenthood's goal is to 'reduce the number of unintended pregnancies and teen pregnancies' ['Obama Presidency Promises Health Progress for Women,' letter, Feb. 4]. She stated that Planned Parenthood is 'ready to work with the anti-choice community on this goal.'

There is no anti-choice community. Those whom Planned Parenthood refer to as anti-choice are people who know and respect the truth that life begins at conception, and are therefore called the pro-life community. The pro-life community opposes the actions of Planned Parenthood which promotes abortion as the means of 'reducing the number of unintended pregnancies.'

Ms. Strang indicates that Planned Parenthood is proud to be pro-choice, and it is a bright day for women's health because President Barack Obama is pro-choice.

The choice they are in favor of is the abortion choice, which causes the death of unborn babies. They gloss over this fact by talking about the health progress of women, but what about the right to life of unborn children.

40 Days for Life kicks off today!

We have been hearing from STOPPers who are all set and ready to pray and fast to end abortion during the 40 Days for Life being sponsored by
www.40Daysforlife.com. As we reported last week, a total of 67 of the 130 vigils will take place outside PP facilities. We have also been hearing reports that Catholic bishops are participating in the vigils as well.

As we have mentioned in our
3-part plan on how to defeat PP, picketing or, in this case, prayerful witnessing, is one way to get PP out of your town.

The single most effective thing you can do to fight an existing PP facility is to establish a regular (at least weekly) picket. This single act will lower PP's business, tarnish its community image, and result in increased public attention to its programs and philosophies. All these effects will work to your benefit.

We’d also like to thank all of you who have been participating in protests all year round. May God bless you and may you or someone you know be inspired to start a protest. If so, please visit our Map Room at
www.stopp.org/maps. Also, be sure to share with us your experience, so that perhaps your story will be featured in a future WSR.
